The third quarter of 2022 saw interesting trends in the performance of top dining and restaurant apps on the Android platform in the Middle East. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, active users, and revenue metrics for the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

McDonald's experienced a varied trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 36.8K in mid-July. The app's downloads fluctuated, with a notable rise to 34.2K in mid-September. Weekly active users hovered around 270K at the beginning of the quarter, saw a dip to around 240.9K in early August, and ended the quarter near 266.9K.

KFC Saudi Arabia showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 16.4K in late June and peaking at 22.9K in mid-September. Weekly active users started at around 87.6K and saw a slight increase, nearing 92K by the end of the quarter.

KFC UAE (United Arab Emirates) had a decline in weekly downloads over the quarter. Starting at 18.6K in late June, downloads fell to around 11.2K by the end of September. Weekly active users also saw a downward trend, beginning at 93.4K and decreasing to approximately 76.5K by the end of the quarter.

ALBAIK showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at 13K in late June and surging to 22.4K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users saw a similar trend, rising from 40.2K to around 55.3K during the same period.

Herfy App had an interesting pattern in weekly downloads, with a notable spike to 29.7K in mid-September. Active users also increased significantly, from 42.8K in late June to a peak of 68.4K in mid-September, before settling at around 44.3K by the end of the quarter.
